Summer is almost over, which means goodbye blue skies and hello oversized jumpers, expensive coffee & Halloween! Autumn also means the weather is going to be a lot harsher on our skin, so it’s important to keep our skincare routines up to date. I decided to write a quick post all about my favourite beauty products for the Autumn, as well as some crucial skincare for the colder months to come.
The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Mask
The Body Shop’s Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask is a life saver for dry skin in Autumn; I use it two to three times a week and my skin always feels more moisturised and I’ve had seen a good decrease in my breakouts since using it. Simply put, the perfect skin fixer, and the price tag is well worth it for the amount of product you get. Also, cute packaging is always a bonus! I also highly recommend buying one of The Body Shop’s handy applicator brushes and their luxury face flannel to avoid any messing around when applying/removing the mask!
Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Pads
I find that in the colder months it’s better to cut out unnecessary products from my skincare routine so my skin can stay fresh without getting clogged up. Nip + Fab’s Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Pads are the perfect cleansing tool if you have to rush around in the morning or don’t want to use too many products. They’re infused with hyaluronic acid which helps to plump and hydrate your skin, and they’re especially good for removing makeup with minimal effort!
Superdrug Simply Pure Light Moisturiser
The most affordable product in this skincare list but probably the most essential; this Simply Pure moisturiser from Superdrug has become my new favourite moisturiser to use all year round. It’s designed specifically for sensitive skin, which is beneficial to most skin types because it won’t be too heavy and won’t react badly with dry patches. It’s also vegan and cruelty free, which are two of my favourite attributes for makeup and skincare.
Lime Crime Venus II Palette
The Lime Crime Venus Palettes are both absolutely stunning, but their second Venus palate aka “The Grunge Palette” is my go-to for Autumn. My favourite shades for this season are Jam, Mud & Mustard, which are perfect for creating an Autumnul smokey eye.
Colourpop Lippie To Go in the shade “Chateau”
My Lippie To Go is a mini set with a lipstick on one end and a lip liner on the other end, and my combo of Chateau with Colourpop’s lip liner in Dukes is a stunning dark brown lip that’s absolutely perfect with brighter eye makeup. Brown lips are perfect 90s nostalgia, but are also great for this season!
Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in ‘Rose Gold Lights’
I’ve talked about Makeup Revolution’s incredible baked highlighters before on my blog, and they’re still my go-to highlighter for everyday makeup looks. For Autumn I especially love using their baked highlighter in the shade Rose Gold Lights, as it also doubles up as a light blush; giving your cheeks a natural looking glow.
Primark Pointed False Nails, ‘Cheer’
I always get my false nails from Primark, the glue they include is quite good and lasts about a week if you take good care of your nails, and they come in loads of different shapes and sizes for such a low cost. I recently picked up these cute bright orange nails which I think would be great towards the end of this month for Halloween, but would probably make a good beauty accessory for the entire season as well.
