If you read my last Fenty Beauty post, you’ll know how much I’m loving RiRi’s new makeup range. She recently launched her Galaxy Collection, which included some new lip products, some multi-use eyeliners and her first ever eyeshadow palette. I really can’t resist a glitter palette, so when I saw the Galaxy Palette was all shimmer I had to pick it up.
This palette is currently £39 at Harvey Nichols, and contains 14 shimmer shades. It’s got crazy pigment for a shimmer palette, each colour is completely different from the others in the palette and some are slightly holographic so appear to be two-tone. My favourite shades for this palette are probably Meteor Crush and Space Owt, which are both pink-purple shades. I also really love the shade Midnight Bolt which is a bright blue.
I personally stay away from more expensive palettes, but I think the price is definitely justified considering the quality of the shadows as well as the depth of the pan which (based on the depth of the bottom of the palette) is quite big, meaning you’ll get plenty of use from these shades.
The packaging is also stunning, being holographic and octagon-shaped as opposed to a plain recatangle. Both pretty small/less important details but they really help this palette stand out from its competitors. One thing that was a tad annoying about the packaging is how easily fingerprints show up on the palette – almost immediately after taking it out of the box I had marks all over it – but they do wipe off with a clean cloth.
Swatches for this palette are below, let me know which shades you’re loving in the comments!
