A Valentine From KKW; Ride Or Die Fragrance Review

A Valentine From KKW; Ride Or Die Fragrance Review

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that whether you’re spending today with your other half, by yourself or with your bestie, your day is full of good vibes & love! I’m spending my day with a shopping spree, a cheeky spa date, followed by a romantic dinner and stay at a luxurious hotel with my boyfriend.

To top it off, I smell f*cking fantastic. Why? Kim Kardashian sent me a scented Valentine! I mean, she also sent them to thousands of other people. And we all paid $30 for them. Close enough though, right?!I’m of course talking about Mrs. Kardashian West’s new Valentine’s fragrances, which I’m sure you’ll have heard of given that you have a working internet connection and have clicked on this review.

I love the Kardashians, and I’m not ashamed to admit that. I haven’t really bought into their products yet, mostly due to really expensive shipping costs (seriously, it’s 2018, can US-based brands start paying customs charges?!) on top of already expensive product costs. When I saw Kim’s new fragrances, I immediately felt that pang of oh my days, another Kardashian product I want for no particular reason other than it looks immense.

I pretty quickly resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn’t be buying one, because although they’re a good price at $30 each, I wasn’t too happy about paying $15 for shipping and then £20 customs for a bloody perfume. But then I read that these fragrances don’t come with customs charges, because taxes are covered in the $20 shipping (a little pricey still, but when you’ve ordered stuff from the US as much as me, you know that that’s a good deal!) Cue me, frantically hopping onto KKWFRAGRANCE.COM to choose which perfume I wanted.

I chose to get Kim’s Ride Or Die perfume, because it had the most appealing name and sounded completely heavenly in the description. I’ve always preferred a combination of fresh and musky scents; nothing too heavy, but something that’s unique and lasts a while. I was first tempted by BFF because of its hints of berry, vanilla and wooden undertones, but was sold by Ride Or Die‘s blend of dark fruits, jasmine, caramel and Tonka beans. I had to Google what the hell Tonka beans actually were first, and they sounded rad. If your curious, they’re apparently black seeds that look a bit like raisins, and smell a bit like almonds and cinnamon. Basically this perfume sounded like it was about to make me hungry, and I was happy about it.

The outer packaging for this perfume is fairly simplistic and fresh, but suits Kim’s brand well because of it. The bottle itself is adorable – a sweet little Purple Heart with Ride Or Die printed on the side in red – and is easy to open and featured a typical spray cap.

The smell is super sweet, which is to be expected from the candy-hearts theme, but works perfectly as an everyday scent. It’s definitely very fruity, you can tell this scent is based on berries and darker fruits, but there’s a muskier undertone to it that makes it smell really luxurious. For me personally it’s also a little nostalgic, it smells a lot like a scent I used to own in my teens, but an upgraded, more matured version of it. Basically, the perfect scent for me!

Have you tried any of KKW’s Fragrances? Which of the three Kimoji Hearts scents would you try? Leave me a comment below and let me know!

Super pleased to say it’s 100% cruelty free & vegan according to Kim’s website – I only ever feature cruelty free products on my blog and 99% of my beauty collection is cruelty free (minus a few gifts like perfume that I’m not willing to waste or throw away but wouldn’t purchase myself!) 💜

I really liked the look and sound of these but it was before payday so I didn’t cave.
I like her crystal style fragrances though.

Ahh you got your hands on one – I was tossing between Ride or Die or BFF but they all sold out by the time I had decided. Boo!

I love the whole concept of them though and her PR packaging for it – the chocolate hearts – were so cute! Exciting read, loved it Emma! xx

Thanks for the love Ange! If I wasn’t in the UK I’d die to be on that PR list – I think the chocolate might’ve melted before it got to me though!
