As a lover of the ‘Athleisure’ trend and a lover of Disney, I recently jumped at the chance to review some of Boohoo’s new Disney range, which is all heavily influenced by modern streetwear with a Mickey-twist. The new range includes both men and women’s pieces, including tops, bottoms and jackets. I picked out three pieces from this collection to put together a versatile look – the sizes for these items go from a 6 up to a 24.
The first piece I picked out were these super comfy joggers with Minnie’s signature down the side in red – they’re loose fitting and perfect for the A/W weather. They’re what I’d call a “subtle” themed item, where the Disney connection isn’t too blatant until you really look, something which is consistent throughout the whole range. The joggers cost £18 and are also available in grey.
The second piece I picked out was this Mickey print unitard which retails at £18. Its very faux-designer in its styling, and again isn’t glaringly Disney themed until you get up close and spot the repeated Mickey pattern! The material for this is quite stretchy making it a comfortable one-piece, but still tight-fighting meaning it’s perfect for showing off your curves. It can be worn on its own, with a cute belt or a tied-shirt around the waist, or paired with joggers or jeans for a slightly more relaxed approach.
The last piece I picked up was a simple but very cute crop top that features Mickey’s iconic gloves making a heart shape – this is the most “obviously Disney” of the three but the also the simplest in its design, this would be perfect for showing a bit of Disney love with any outfit. The fit is fairly oversized making it quite casual, and the material is super soft which allows it to be a great match for the joggers. It could also be paired with jeans for a less relaxed approach. It’s only £10 which is great value for a cute graphic tee.
